Ice Cream Social Hosted by MVP
Monday, August 22, 5:30PM - 6:30PM
New Parents, learn about school wide events and policies to create a smooth transition to Mansion all while enjoying ice cream and other wonderful staff and fabulous parents! Parents and students alike are promised a great time!

Mansion Volunteer Program (MVP) is a volunteer group of parents and grandparents who have the best interest of both the school and students in mind. MVP is committed to assisting in school and fundraising for general operation of the school, teacher professional development, student activities, and teacher appreciation. Every parent, grandparent, and guardian who has a student enrolled at Mansion Day School is a member of MVP.

School Lunch Options


Essential Meals: Hot Lunch
  • All lunches must be purchased online in advance. 
     
  • If children do not want the scheduled lunch, Essential Meals offers sandwich options. Families can choose from turkey, ham, and sunflower butter and jelly (sunflower butter tastes like peanut butter)!
     
  • Pricing
    • Lunch: $4.50 per meal
       
    • Snacks with Lunch: Additional $2.00 for (2) healthy snacks with daily lunch: fruit, vegetables, crackers, cheese etc. Bottled water is included.
       
    • Snacks without Lunch: $3.00 charge for snacks purchased without daily lunch.
       
  • Lunch orders must be submitted to the main office. The form must be attached.

Box Top Contest
 

Box tops are turned into the blue buckets in each classroom. There will be box tops contests each month. Box Tops are each worth 10¢ for our Mansion Day School. Look for Box Tops on hundreds of participating products, including cereal, snacks, paper products and produce.

Academic Hours

  • Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten | 9:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
     
  • Kindergarten - Grade 3 | 8:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
     
  • Grades 4 & 5 | 8:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

If Ms. Dee is not in the main office, she may be attending off-site meetings or working from a separate office. Please feel free to schedule an appointment through Ms. Christy Edwards.

Uniform Policy

  • Socks and leggings should coordinate with the school colors that are stated in the enforced uniform policy. (MDS logo is NOT required)
     
  • No shoes higher than the ankle, with the exception of winter boots in season.
     
  • No gloves worn indoors during the school day.
     
  • MDS-logo sweaters and sweatshirts only can be worn during the school day.

School Closings

Every effort is taken to keep the school open during the winter months. Should the school have to close due to inclement weather, you will receive notification through:
  • The email address on file for you
     
  • The three major local television stations
     
  • The school status scroll on the bottom of the screen from the three major TV stations
     
  • Child care is unavailable when the school is closed

Illness Policy

  • Students must be free of fever for 24 hours before returning to school.
     
  • Students must be free of signs and symptoms of vomiting for 24 hours before returning to school.
     
  • Please be sure to report all illnesses to the office to ensure the wellness of the entire student body.
