ANN ARBOR, MI – With the return of students to school comes the arrival of Labor Day and the announcement of the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) Labor Day transit schedules. TheRide is excited to serve current and new riders with its improved and expanded services this fall, but will not be operating regular fixed-route bus service, ExpressRide, A-Ride, or GoldRide services on Monday, September 5, 2016 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. These services will resume on Tuesday, September 6. In addition, TheRide’s main office at 2700 S. Industrial Highway and the Blake and Ypsilanti Transit Centers will be closed on Labor Day, but will reopen to serve customers on Tuesday, September 6.
AirRide service between Ann Arbor and Detroit Metro Airport operates 365 days a year. The “Book a Trip†feature on
MyAirRide.com displays the AirRide holiday schedules.
Passengers may take advantage of TheRide’s HolidayRide shared-ride service on designated holidays, or NightRide shared-ride service, which begins at 11 p.m. on Saturdays, 8 p.m. on Sundays, and midnight during weeknights, for $5 per person. Seniors and persons with disabilities with an AAATA-issued GoldRide card or A-Ride card may ride for $2.50. Individuals with a go!pass may ride for $3.
HolidayRide and NightRide services operate within the city limits of Ann Arbor and east to downtown Ypsilanti between Clark Road/Huron River Drive and Ellsworth Road/Michigan Avenue. Please note that there is a $2 per person additional charge for trips that begin or end outside Ann Arbor without an advance reservation.
