 EAGLE EYE DADS
Calling all Rancho Christian Dads! You are invited to join our "Eagle Eye Dads" inaugural safety team! “Eagle Eye Dads†will serve at various times and days through their presence on campus during school hours (8:00 am - 3:00 pm). Days and duration of volunteer service will depend on each dad’s availability.
Join us for a meeting on Monday, August 22 at 7:00 am or 5:00 pm, in front of the West building.
Our Executive Director - Jim Kunau, Head of Security - Marcus Meyers, and our Administrator in charge of traffic and safety will all be there to briefly go over the mission of the “Eagle Eye Dadsâ€, as well as some of our safety and emergency procedures. If neither of those meeting times work for you, please contact our head of security, Marcus Myers at (973) 590-7480 to arrange a time to meet with him.

 Parent Volunteer LIVE SCAN Requirement
Deadline: Friday, September 2
Parents, do you plan to volunteer at the school this year by helping in your child's classroom, or driving on a field trip, or helping at a school event? If so, both you and your spouse need to go through the process of being Live Scanned by Friday, September 2. There is no cost to you, and this can be done on Eagle Day, August 12, from 8:00 pm - 4:00 pm without an appointment. After that, appointments are required. Come out and support Rancho Christian Middle School ASB during our Spirit Night! Invite family and friends to eat chicken, have fun, and show support. Chick-fil-A in Temecula will donate 15% - 20% of sales back to our school! No flyer needed.

 Safe Harbor Counseling Center
Rancho Christian School is excited to partner with Safe Harbor Counseling Center! Now located on Rancho’s central campus, Safe Harbor Counseling Center is a group of professional psychotherapists dedicated to providing counseling services to both the community and our Rancho students and families. In the future, we look forward to parenting seminars presented by Safe Harbor and both girls and boys counseling groups that will be open to supporting our students. PRESCHOOL NEWS
 Preschool 2016-2017 School Calendar
The 2016-2017 Preschool Key Dates Calendar is now available for download from our website here: ranchopreschool.org/calendar.
 No Parking
For the safety of all of our students and families, please do not park in the red zone to drop-off or pick-up your preschool student. Instead, please use the parking lot, or the yellow or white zones.
 Traffic Flow
Our K-12 students and families are about to return to campus. We would like to remind you to use the West entrance (near the football field) for preschool morning drop-off so that you do not get stuck in the Elementary loop at the East entrance of the school. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS
Enrichment Session 1 Classes: 9/27 - 11/3
RCS Enrichment offers after school class sessions throughout the school year. Session 1 classes run from September 27 - November 3, 2016. These classes last for approximately an hour and include topics such as, computer coding, Bible study, Taekwondo, and Chess. Click here for details and registration form.
Elementary Lunch Services Correction
Please note a correction to the Food Services Welcome Letter that was in your back to school mailing packet, and also found on our website at ranchochristian.org/food-services.
A la carte food is available at the Elementary school as follows:
- Breaks & Lunch times 10:00 am - 12:30 pm (Grades 2-5)
- After school from 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm (Grades K-5)
MS Debate Team (5th - 8th Grade)
Would you like to join the MS debate team? Weekly practice for 5th -8th grade students will be held on Wednesdays from 3:00 - 4:00 pm in room W-106. Our first practice will be this coming Wednesday, August 24.

Block Schedule & Key Dates Calendar Update
We have recently made a few changes to our 2016-2017 Key Dates Calendar and our 2016-2017 MS/HS Block Schedule related to specific Blue/Gold days for Mondays in November. Please view/print the updated documents through the links above or on our website at ranchochristian.org/resources.
MS Class Shirts Still Available
Don't be left out! MS Class Shirts are still available for purchase before and after school, and at lunch. Shirts are $15.00 each, cash or check please. Select sizes are available in Mrs. Story's room, W-102. Orders are now being accepted for any unavailable sizes. Students will be encouraged to wear these shirts at the upcoming MS "Stay-Treat" and they can wear them on any Spirit Day.

NEED A CHANGE? If a correction or change is needed to your class schedule, please go to our website at ranchochristian.org/resources and print the “Schedule Change Request Form". This form must be completed and submitted to the MS/HS office by: Friday, August 26, 2016. We will do our best to honor these requests, but please understand that any/all changes will be based on class size and availability. NOTE: You must attend the classes listed on your current schedule until you hear from the Registrar that your class has been changed.
SUBMITTED A FORM? If you have already submitted a Schedule Change Request Form, please check RenWeb (ParentsWeb) for the most up-to-date version of your class schedule, or stop by the Registrar's Office in the morning before school.

HIGH SCHOOL NEWS
 High School Barn Dance!
August 19
Don't forget about our High School Barn Dance THIS FRIDAY, August 19, directly following the home football scrimmage! The dance goes from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm, outside the high school building. Tickets are $5 ($3 with an ASB Card). Come in your favorite western attire as we enjoy a professional "Caller" who will teach us square dancing. We will also have a delicious lemonade bar with desserts and lawn games. Can't wait to see you all there!
 High School ASB Cards for Sale
Get plugged into RCHS with an ASB Card! This card will allow you to enjoy high school events at a lower price and receive discounts at Temecula restaurants and establishments. Cost: $25.
Benefits include:
- Discounted price at School Dances and Events.
- Pay $1 for admittance into football games* (Students without a card will be charged $5).
- Use your card to save on select restaurants in the Temecula area: Pizza Factory, Coldstone, Temecula Lanes Bowling, Great Harvest., etc. (Exact discounts will be announced in the coming weeks)
- ASB Cards will only be available for a limited time, so pick one up today for $25!
- Cards may be purchased online here, or you can purchase a card at lunch in the ASB Room, W-203.
- When you purchase your ASB Card, your name will be added to a list. When the Student ID cards arrive at school, a special ASB sticker will be placed on your Student ID card, designating it also as an ASB Card.
