Emerging Potters Exhibition

As the country rolls from one crisis to the next, we carry on regardless and for the first time will bring 30 emerging stars of the ceramics field to our new gallery space in Kirkbymoorside.

There is a rich vein of talent in this group who were selected from well over 100 entries. A massive thanks to both Ruth King and Norman Yap for their help in selecting.

September will also see the arrival of heaps of new work, several new painters, wonderful new pieces from Philip Wakeham, Simon Gudgeon, Michael Thacker and Helen Sinclair.

We are also building up for the Cambridge Art Fair, with work arriving from France, Austria and all over the UK. We are certainly in our strongest position yet and really looking forward to curating the show in the new space.

Louise Chatfield
We are delighted to welcome Louise to the gallery with her abstract landscapes. Using acrylics, oils and other media her work has a fresh vibrancy to it.
Louise Chatfield - Sussex based landscape artist
Patricia Davis
Oil and palette knives and little care for the cost of the paint is how Graham describes his wife's still lives. I am rather pleased she doesn't!
Patricia Davis - abstract still lives from Cornwall
Zoe Taylor
We welcome Zoe, after several years of courting, to the new gallery with a handful of her new acrylic pieces. We are also looking forward to her first batch of oil paintings to come and we hope to have her work on show for years to come.
Zoe Taylor - acrylics from Worcestershire
Michael Thacker
Another batch of Michael's amazing sculptures have arrived and drawing the usual oohs and aahs! We will have some exciting new pieces for the launch too, a little different!
Michael Thacker - Limestone & Gold Leaf
BLOTT Works
They are back with their interpretation of a hawk in the style of a desk lamp! Stunningly over-engineered and finished.
