Dear <<First Name>>,
I don't know about you, but I'm a bit sad summer's coming to an end.
I know ... some parents are thrilled when school starts back up and the kids get out of the house for more hours each day. But I'm reminded of how quickly they grow up.
Since my oldest started school 11 years ago, I'll admit that I've shed a tear or two on more than one first day of school. (Okay, not a surprise if you know me. I often cry what my kids call "happy tears.")
 Caleb's in 10th grade, Johnny's in 8th grade, and Abbi's in 4th grade. It won’t be long before they're graduating and starting their lives as adults, and I want to impart to them all I can while they're still at home - equipping them to live life for Jesus to the fullest.
I don’t want my kids to just know about Jesus; I want them to know Jesus. I want them to fall in love with Him and His Word personally.
And I think that's a call to our church as well.
We're called to equip the next generation - to disciple, mentor, and invest in our kids and youth - to love them and help them know the love of God in a very real and personal way.

Do you have a niece or nephew you could invite to church? Could you volunteer with our Kids or Youth ministries? Or are there kids in your apartment complex who would love to join you for a tea party or a basketball game?
You have something unique to offer the next generation. What is it?
Together, let's be people who tell the next generation what we've seen and what we've heard (Acts 4:20b) and "the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done" (Psalm 78:4b).

P.S. On September 4, we won't have a separate service for our Middle/High School students, as they'll be joining us in our main service. We'll be praying for our youth, their teachers, and their administrators, as the school year kicks off, and we’ll be introducing and praying over our new youth pastors. If you can only attend one service in the next few weeks, I'd encourage you to join us on September 4 (either at 9am or 11am).
