Hickory players representing Oregon, Washington, and California are set for an old fashioned duel for the COW Bell!
We need your help to wrangle and secure the Cup by representing the golden state of California!
SATURDAY Oct 22nd - Noon
-- Chapman format --
Teams of two hit tee shots, and then play second shots using their partner's tee shot location. After both players second shots, the team must select one ball location from which to complete the hole using alternate shot format.
SUNDAY Oct 23rd - 9:00
-- Four ball & Singles Combined format --
Two teams of two players compete directly against each other. Each golfer plays their own ball throughout the round, such that four balls are in play. A team's number of strokes for a given hole is that of the lower scoring team member.
A Singles match of one vs one is run concurrently with an opponent from the Four ball match.
Costs = less than $100 for 2 days of golf!
The privately owned Emerald Valley Golf Club, just south of Eugene and on the I-5 corridor, has generously extended to our group special winter rates of $30 a day.
* $15 per cart rider if needed.
* Additional $35 tournament fee to include all tee prizes and awards.
* All monies payable at course.
Saturday night we would like to get together at a nearby sports restaurant or pizza parlor to root for Cal Bears who will be hosting the local Oregon Ducks back home in Berkeley. Dinner to be paid individually. We're searching for a fun and tasty "pay-at-the-counter" venue if anyone has a recommendation.

Half-way between San Francisco and Seattle, Emerald Valley GC is situated just south of Eugene on the I-5 corridor. A newer, but old time style golf course, it is very walkable and hosts many top rated amateur events and regional qualifiers.
This is going to be a fun event with plenty of great battle stories to reminisce, console, and cheer.
