GELLI PLATE WRAPPING PAPER!
Dropped in my tracks AGAIN! when I saw this wrapping paper project using Gelli plates!!!  I see us doing this in our future.
I just so happen to have several Gelli Plates and Stampendous' version called Creative Pallet.  I know you're not surprised!  I'm almost seeing this as a special class project held at the Library.  I'll give this some further thought.  Your input would be most welcome!
AND if that project isn't awesome enough, look further for a project with used baby wipes!!!!  Who knew???  I'm in recycle heaven right now!!!!
MORE ON PARTIAL STAMPING!
Splitcoast had a cool tutorial this past week that on first glance looks like partial stamping, but it isn't!!!!  It's one of those, 'now why didn't I think of that' moments...
Dina Kowal was actually showing palette blending with Zig Markers, so there's useful tips on watercolor blending.  Hope you give this a try!  Any watercolor medium will work.

SPEAKING OF RECYCLING...
How about used tea bag art????  This needs no further explanation.  Don't shoot the messenger!

PAPER ARTS CLUB

September 28, 2016

Swap:  October themes - leaves, autumn colors, pumpkins, baren trees, Halloween
Everson:  Halloween
SOTM:  Watercolor Strips

At our last Club meeting, we created an awesome watercolor card that began with a 2-1/2 x 5 inch strip of watercolor paper, 4 Distress ink cubes, an Andy Skinner tree stamp, and the Misti.  I've put the tutorial on my blog, so just click on the photo below for the link.
We added a Maya Road bird charm to the twine as a sweet little accent.

As I was trolling Pinterest yesterday, I saw this one-layer Penny Black card by Jill Foster that is similar to my card.  I thought you'd enjoy seeing her video.  (I swear I didn't case it for my card!)
If you can, take a moment to watch Jill's video of how she created this card.  You will drop everything and want to paint it!!!
I couldn't wait to play with Jill's technique!  I ended up using all Distress markers even in the rectangle.  The leaves are inked with Vintage Photo and spritzed prior to stamping.  I masked off the rectangle using Eclipse paper, but a sticky note would work as well.  Can't wait to try the deer and bird versions of her card!
