Greetings, Friend!
On Saturday, September 10th and Sunday, September 11th, we're holding a two-day Sewing & Work Sesshin - a silent retreat wherein those who will be taking the Bodhisattva Precepts in a Ceremony in January will begin sewing their rakusus, while the rest of us support them in meditation and work practice around the zendo.
While we hope you'll be able to attend the entire 2-day sesshin, you are welcome to attend any portion(s) of the two-day schedule your obligations will allow. (For those who wish to stay overnight Friday or Saturday, accommodations will be available to sleep in the zendo.)
The sesshin's general schedule is as follows:
- Saturday: Sesshin begins at 6:30am and ends at 8:30pm.
- Sunday: Sesshin resumes at 6:30am and ends at 5:30pm
Detailed schedules for each day of the sesshin are available on our web site (click here), as well as information about suggested fees (click here).
Scholarships are available for those who need them, and those who can afford to support other students in their practice are encouraged to contribute a little "extra" to make scholarships possible.
If you plan to participate, please let us know in advance by using the RSVP link below and answering a few short questions, so we can plan for teas, meals and otherwise make the needed arrangements.
