Main Street Market Hours

Yes! Markets are open! While many farmers suffered losses in the recent flooding, Red Stick Farmers Market hosts farmers from different areas of the state who were not affected. Fresh produce and artisan food items are still available and we appreciate your patronage during this time more than ever. Please consider a market visit this Thursday at Pennington or start your weekend with us downtown on Saturday. Main Street Market cafes are open with delicious breakfast and lunch options and D'Agostino's Pasta Company will give cooking tips during the 10 am Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration this Saturday.
Small Farm Flood Recovery
Make A Donation
Small farmers across South Louisiana have suffered loss of crops, equipment, and homes in the aftermath of the unprecedented flooding. Fifteen farmers and food artisans who participate in the Red Stick Farmers Market were directly impacted by the flooding with 120 acres of farm land affected. Fletcher Farm literally lost most of his dirt in his field and is busy reclaiming soil for fall planting. BREADA is actively seeking donations for the Louisiana Small Farm Survival Fund, established at Baton Rouge Area Foundation in 2005, to provide direct aid to small local farmers who were affected. You can make a tax-deductible donation online which will assist farmers with recovery efforts.
Table Auction Ending Soon
The online auction ends August 31st.
There is just one week left to bid on your favorite Main Street Market table!  The custom tables are designed and painted by local youth artists every three years and reflect Louisiana's vibrant culinary scene. During the Farm to Table Tops program, kids connect with local farmers and learn about Louisiana agriculture. The existing tables are sold to the highest bidder in an online auction which provides funding for children's programs at the Red Stick Farmers Market. The tables can be used in a breakfast nook, on a covered porch, or with a lower base for a children's table. We can also remove the base if you choose to display the original artwork on your wall.
