Haringey bucks national trend with 10% rise in GCSE results

The number of Haringey students gaining 5 or more A*-C GCSEs, including English and Maths, rose by 10% this year to 64.6% while GCSE results fell across the country. Elin Weston, Haringeyâ€™s cabinet member for Children and Families said, â€œThe 10 per cent rise in GCSE results in Haringey is an incredible achievement by students and teaching staff in our borough. Our incredibly talented students have bucked the national trend with their hard work and have made us all extremely proud. I wish all of them well for the future.â€

Haringey Cabinet Member for Housing Regeneration and Planning, Alan Strickland said, â€œThe Haringey Design Awards aim to recognise those who have brought excellent design to our borough and to celebrate the contribution that this makes.â€ Nominate your favourite building.
