Associate professor finds brewing is a "marriage" of three passions
Julie Howe’s interest in craft beers and brewing began when she was pursuing her Ph.D. in soil science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Now, in addition to her teaching and research duties in the Department of Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences, Howe also teaches the Brewing Materials course in Auburn’s Graduate Certificate in Brewing Science and Operations program.

Beef consumers invited to participate in study |

Consumers of beef are invited to participate in a research study to investigate consumer behaviors regarding fresh red meat product handling. The study is being conducted by Derek Griffing, Ph.D. student, under the direction of Christy Bratcher, associate professor in the College of Agriculture’s Department of Animal Sciences. |

2016 Ag Roundup set Oct. 1 before AU homecoming game |

Auburn University’s Ag Heritage Park is the place to be on homecoming Saturday, Oct. 1, as the Auburn Agricultural Alumni Association and the College of Agriculture present the 2016 Fall Roundup and Taste of Alabama Agriculture. A homecoming pregame tradition, Ag Roundup will open four hours before the Auburn–Louisiana Monroe football game and wrap up an hour before kickoff. Game time has not yet been announced. |

Join your College of Agriculture family on a five-day Carnival Cruise. The cruise leaves from Mobile Feb. 20, 2017, with ports of call in Progresso and Cozumel. Deposits are due Sept. 8. |

Successful Women in Agriculture Leadership Conference |

Nov. 10
Registration will open in September for the 2016 Successful Women in Agriculture Leadership Conference. This program is a great way for students to build on their leadership skills and network with female leaders in the agriculture industry. Registration for the conference will close Oct. 31. |
