Each player receives:
- A practice jersey
- Home and away game socks
- Washington Wild helmet stickers – team name / jersey numbers

Note 1: Player Release
If you played for another association last year (even in a beginner class), we need a Player Release before you register for a Wild team. This USA Hockey requirement states you are in good financial standing and/or have returned all the other association’s equipment. To obtain a release, simply email the Admin or Registrar of the other association--they should provide it to you within 24 hours. (Note: If you are double-rostering, you don’t need a Release). Then, submit the release to
Adam Young, WWFHA Registrar.

Note 2: WWFHA Dues Payment
This season WWFHA will collect dues via SportNgin.
Once you select a team in the registration process, you will be required to make an initial down payment (first month's dues) and then be given 3 options for payment:
1. Pay in Full
     a. Pay online via SportNgin
     b. Pay via check and bring to the first practice
2. Pay Monthly online via SportNgin either by:
     a. Monthly auto-debit
     b. Monthly electronic bill/invoice
Note: If you did not pay the $50 tryout fee which is part of the season dues, you will be asked to do so.

Team Slush Fund payments will be handled through your team via the Slush Fund Manager.

Household Goods Needed

Anne-Marie Dion, WWFHA’s new goalie coach and 8U head coach, just moved from the east coast and is trying to furnish her new apartment.

If you have anything extra you can spare from your home, please contact her at amdion13@gmail.com -- she is looking for everything!

- Plates, forks, knives, spoons, cups, bowls
- Cooking utensils
- Pots/pans
- Couch/sofa
- TV stand, or dresser that can hold a TV
- Dining room table (doesn't have to be huge)
- Dining room chairs
- Outside chairs (ADK, folding, plastic, she’s not picky)

She’s happy to come and pick stuff up (unless it's a couch and it doesn't fit in her little CR-V).

The Experts’ Edge

Playing Collegiate Hockey—Advice from the Experts

The following article was posted in 2014 on the WWFHA website and is a brief look at the college hockey process seminars student-athletes participate within the organization. The article was recently pre-posted by an Ontario hockey association. While it will be updated in the coming months, it is a great overview.
---
Many young student-athletes dream of playing women’s collegiate ice hockey. Many female players in North America and around the world devote massive numbers of hours on the ice to improve their skills, as well as work tirelessly to get in shape off-ice, earn great grades, and market themselves to university coaches. Moreover, parents work hard to give their daughters the best opportunities and experiences to help them achieve their dreams.

There are countless stories of how players reached their goal of playing in college and just as many myths about the process. We went straight to the people who know the process the best – the NCAA women’s ice hockey coaches and the independent scouts who advise coaches as they help develop and evaluate players.
