Message From Our Founder
Nearly 14 years ago, I stumbled across a poet on HBO named Geogia Me whose presence commanded my unwavering attention...whose words captivated the very essence of my being. She did things to poetry that both perplexed and amazed me. What others hid behind metaphors and ambiguous phrasing, she laid bare on stage. Raw emotion held together by rhythm and rhyme. Pain etched every syllable, yet the scent of resilience lingered in the air long after she left the stage. She was just breaking into the poetry scene back then.
Today, she is a Tony, Emmy, Peabody, BAFFTA, and Kuumba-award winner who is currently touring with Jill Scott. Her resume includes appearances on HBO's Def Poetry Jam, Today Show, Carson Daly, Monique Show, Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail...and on October 15, she'll add host of the 2016 Sweet Peach Soiree to the long list of accomplishments! I am simultaneously humbled and giddy to work with such a powerful artist to bring healing to Atlanta women.
We've been teasing you about the soiree for the last few months, so I'm excited to finally share the yummy goodness. The drool-inducing cocktail hour menu will be hand-crafted by Chef Charone Morgan. We have a phenomenal lineup of sexual wellness professionals to discuss everything from tantra and best positions to military sexual trauma and sacred sexuality. SkinzArt Bodyart Studio Atlanta will be live painting a few models for a very special performance. To top it all off, our sponsors have prepared an incredible lineup of exciting door prizes and auction giveaways including yoni eggs, crystal healing jewelry, and even a free month of health coaching.
Pre-sale ends Wednesday. Buy your tickets now to save $10.
This evening is going to be the YASSSSSS of the town! You don't want to miss it. I'll see you there.
PS...to help us get the word out about the 2016 Sweet Peach Soiree, we're asking for video submissions from our supporters explaining why it's important to protect women's sexual health.
