Other News
Piano donations are coming in outside Glasgow and the project is growing beyond the city limits with 'Libby' about to be installed in Paisley Arts Centre, before joining the Maggie's Culture Crawl Nightwalk on Oct 7th, and a piano in Dunfermline at an NHS conference, courtesy of a local choir. No sense in taking one there in a van! I am very happy to report that the GCC Area Partnerships fund has awarded us around £5000 to develop our activities in specific areas of the city including our pianos in: Woodlands, Maryhill and Govan. Full details on this and all new funding soon. Our informal piano performances & tuition sessions continue at Riverside museum on 'Denholm', generally on the 1st & last Sundays of the month. Martha Steed is still decorating 'Big Mary' at the Pearce Institute in Govan. ( Click on the image opposite to see one of the earliest examples of this type of piano shenanigans from Phoebe Anna Traquair in 1910.
'Pianos on Prescription' is definitely taking off as an idea and I will share more news as things unfold. Safe to say when a Gp calls you out of the blue to ask if one of her patients can get piano tuition then you know something is working. Click on the pic of Grainne teaching some wee ones to read the recent article in the Times. Enough for now.

Tom Binns, Project Coordinator
Now installed at Plantation Productions in Govan. Click on the image above to see a wee video of Judith Ralston signing ' Mack '
