FAN invites you to participate in a unique opportunity to be involved in the development of a provenance framework for the region's food agribusiness industry. If you are a primary producer, a restaurant owner or processor you may find the concept has a specific meaning to your business. FAN's aim is to create demand for local and network across the value chain.
The FAN provenance workshop on August 30 is your chance to contribute to a dialogue and help the industry to identify a way forward.
The workshop will be facilitated by provenance expert, Rose Wright.
Program
- Geographical footprint for a Sunshine Coast provenance framework
- Testing of the concept of having categories of provenance and the rules around these
- Testing of what is practical and workable
- How would the framework dovetail into new food labelling laws?
- Should provenance be a label/brand or a narrative?
- What mechanisms should be put in place to monitor, evaluate and accredit the use of the framework?
- How this framework can fit within broader destination food tourism
FAN encourages you to stay on for lunch and continue your conversations at the Flame Hill Winery restaurant.
Flame Hill Vineyard would like to offer FAN members a 10% discount on cellar door purchases.
