How Millenials Became Spooked By Credit Cards

Analysis done by the NY Times on data from the Federal Reserve showed that Americans under 35 hold the least amount of credit card debit since 1989.  Millennials are gravitating towards non-cash and card methods.

National Charter May Be the Devil Marketplace Lenders Don't Know

Right now marketplace lenders deal with regulations in the US on a state-by-state basis.  This is a fragmented approach, but there is discussion on a national charter for FinTech companies.  The model for the charter, for a non-bank fintech company, could be similar to what the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) issues to banks.

Apple Has One Big Advantage Over PayPal in the Mobile Payments War

Mass adoption of mobile payments has not taken hold, but the numbers are improving each year.  A report by Park Associates found that 25% of US smartphone owners use a payment app at least once a month.  Now Apple has a slight lead over PayPal with merchants in regards to which platform will be offered in their store.
