Thank you to everyone who came along, last minute to experience the whirlwind talk last month. I hope that you are still reflecting and practicing the learnings.

What an inspirational few weeks we've just had watching the Olympians compete. I hope; like me, you have experienced a whole range of emotions each day from elation to tension, disappointment to achievements. It's prompted lots of conversations amongst my friends and colleagues. Please follow the threads on facebook to learn more about what we all think. What lessons can we learn for business from the Olympics?
I shall be challenging Laura Trott the next time I'm out on my bike so we'll see what difference it makes to me.
Each month I get even more excited about the speakers we attract to Lifetalks. Please make a note of the future dates in your diaries as I wouldn't want you miss out. I've completed the listing up to November now as I like to plan ahead. Talking of which - We'll be in a different venue this November as we'll outgrow our usual space and I'd like a full audience for Kim Coe, our speaker.  Start spreading the word now please and I'll keep you updated on the venue (Somewhere in/near Truro)

We now have a Meet up community where you can keep up to date on our events and join in conversations.  Can I encourage you all to think about car sharing opportunities. We have had some interest from all around Cornwall and Devon to come along to these talks and not everyone has transport. It's also a great way to get to know people.

I look forward to seeing you on September 13th at 7pm. The Vic Inn, Threemilestone.

Joanna Harper-
Change in the blink of an eye. An Introduction to integral Eye Movement Therapy IEMT
Joanna is delighted to be invited to talk to LifeMOT group in September. She'll be showing you some IEMT concepts and sharing some of the techniques and skills of IEMT. There will be an opportunity for you to experience IEMT yourself in an interesting and fun way.
Joanna is passionate about helping her clients and Trainee Practitioners reach their true potential. A Naturopath and still makes time in her schedule to offer one to one therapy appointments and will share with you how she has integrated IEMT into her client sessions.  Joanna specialises in helping clients with long-term health conditions and pain, having recovered her own health after a chronic illness.

Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) is a developing area rapid change work that explores the area of undesired emotions and our ways of being. The process explores the question, "How did we learn to feel the way that we do?" and opens up the possibility of creating the appropriate change in our emotional lives.
By teaching resources and skills inside the problem state, IEMT appears to bring the client more into the present moment and enables them to better stay out of past negative experiences.

Practitioners consistently report that IEMT has created change in their clients where no other approach has worked previously.” Andrew Austin – IEMT Developer.

November 8th @ 7pm
Kim Coe -
Whatever next?
Kim’s expertise is around bringing together process, people and technology for radical, deep change; accompanying managers, support and frontline people alike in aligned goals and growth of business value.

Periodically, we all need to take stock of our lives and be more creative around crafting the next phase our lives – as a considered, positive and meaningful exercise.
The problem is firstly around being too busy living out our previous intention (and sometimes just surviving it as time has gone on) and secondly having little frame of reference with which to judge and make decisions about our future, given that’s often like trying to see our face without a mirror.
Whether you are treading water or on the cusp of something new, this session is about standing back and reconnecting to the inherent meaning of your life and grasping its proper form and activity in the coming times.

Please don’t attend if you are looking for any improvement techniques, as I will only disappoint you. Please do come along if you are willing to really take a look in the time available – and to move further away from what you don’t want - as  a driver - to what you do want:  as a natural expression of your purpose, genuine talents and untapped potential for enjoying the next part of the journey.
