nymbo : north yorkshire mountain bike orienteers
Hi <<First Name>>,

Two cracking events for the Bank Holiday Weekend - whatever the weather brings!

Saturday 27th August, Malham Show. Blank map thumb
Geoff Moorhouse and I have planned Saturday’s event at Malham Show so you’ve got 4 hours to enjoy some fantastic Yorkshire Dales scenery and bridleways. The weather has been fairly dry for the last month so, if the rain can hold off for another week, the riding conditions will be perfect.

Don’t forget that it’s an early start between 9.00 and 10.00 but you can enjoy the show afterwards free of charge – and we will definitely be using SI controls this year!!

Entry for this event is here, please enter by Tuesday night so that Chris Wildman can print enough maps for everyone.

Monday August 29th, Dalby Forest. Blank map thumb
Dave Lloyd has planned an excellent course in Dalby Forest for Bank Holiday Monday which will test your navigation skills and route choice.

The forest has dried out nicely this summer so (fingers crossed) riding should again be perfect. Don’t forget that Pickering gets very busy so allow plenty of time to get there so that you can start between 12.00 and 1pm.

The event is part of the Eborienteers White Rose orienteering weekend based at Adderstone Field on the forest drive so follow their signs. I still haven’t had confirmation of the reduced FC toll charge so please make sure that you have a copy of the flier with you and share cars if possible.

Entry for this event is here, please enter by Midnight Thursday 25th so that Jens prints enough maps for everyone.

If you'd like to collect controls after either event please reply to this email.

The next two 2 NYMBO events are part of the OMM Bike weekend based at the New Inn Cropton.
All 4 courses count for the league on both days and the event is nearly full with 150 runners and 100 riders already entered. Saturday 7 (with or without overnight camp), 5 or 3 hours. Sunday 5, 4 or 3 hours.
Long course entry --> OMM web site only
3 hour course entry --> BMBO site only
