The Social Impact Pledge – what does it mean for your community?

Communities Channel Scotland is pleased to host the Social Impact Pledge, a Scottish Government initiative aimed at increasing the social impact of public sector organisations across Scotland.

The Social Impact Pledge asks public sector organisations across Scotland to commit to increasing their social impact by making a public commitment to changing three aspects of their current operations or policies. This should be three things that they are not doing currently and haven't done before.  Read the full news story here to find out how your community might benefit or get involved.

Fit for Work Service overview - helping staff return from sick leave

Date: 16th November 2016

Fit For Work Scotland is a free, Government-backed service to help your employees on sick leave to get back to work sooner, and provide advice on health at work.  It is aimed at small to medium sized employers who may not have access to Occupational Health advisers.

Once someone has been off work sick for 4 weeks or more the chances of them returning start to quickly diminish. This new free service allows employers or GPs to refer the employee for an assessment with a professional clinician who will identify any barriers to return to work and aim to develop and agree a Return to Work plan.

Come and find out all about this new service, what it means for you, your staff and your sickness absence policies, and how to get the best out of it.

SPECIAL OFFER: Book this session together with the Managing Sickness Absence (Bitesize) session running afterwards on the same day and save up to £15 per ticket! See FAQs on Eventbrite.
