Get Core Lab Services on the Tufts Boston Campus

Looking for a lab to meet your clinical and analytical needs? Access a full array of services for human, animal, epidemiological, and field studies through a new partnership between Tufts CTSI and the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts (HNRCA) Clinical and Analytical Core Laboratory (CACL).

Comprised of the Nutrition Evaluation Laboratory (NEL) and Mass Spectrometry Lab (MSL), the CACL provides scientific investigators a comprehensive biochemical test menu, specimen handling services and analytical study design assistance.

Licensed by the federal government and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the NEL’s Clinical Core Unit provides results for hematology, blood chemistry, and urinalysis markers.

The NEL’s Specialized Chemistry Unit and the MSL provide tailored analytical services for protocol-specific measurement of water-soluble vitamins, fat-soluble vitamins, lipids, fatty acids, nucleic acids, proteins, amino acids, retinoids, carbohydrates, hormones, enzymes, cytokines, hematological parameters, and macro and micro mineral, antioxidants, peptides, lipidomics, metabolomics and proteomics.

The Specimen Processing Unit receives, processes, stores, and tracks biochemical specimens. Assistance with protocol development is also available.

The CACL would love to talk about your study before you begin the collection phase. To get started, submit a service request.
