BUSINESS SURVEY DUE FRIDAY
Your response is needed for the annual survey of business owners and property owners along Lincoln and Union Streets. This information will help set the goals and priorities for the business alliance and will provide baseline data for the corridor. Here is a link to the Lincoln/Union Commercial Corridor Survey 2016. WINTER ART LOOP
Are you interested in participating in the Wilmington Art Loop for November and/or December? The West Side will link up with the City's monthly Art Loop event. Any restaurant, business, or vacant property owner that would like to think creatively about turning some of their property into an art gallery, or interactive community space, please email Sarah at westsidegrows.business@gmail.com.
The Art Loop will be November 4th and December 2nd. The events will be promoted along with a Holiday Shopping Guide for West Side businesses (and may continue depending). If we have enough interest we can request that the Art Loop extend their bus transportation to Lincoln and Union Streets.

BUSINESS ALLIANCE MEETINGS: September
Save the date! The next meetings will be Monday, September 12th at 2pm and Tuesday, September 13th at 6pm. We are shifting the times this month to accommodate as many businesses as possible. LOCATION TBD.

BETTER BLOCK RECAP - Building Momentum for Transportation Improvements
Better Block: Union Street 2016 was a big success! We are working on putting together traffic data and analysis for Deldot and we started a petition that is 50 short of 500! Please sign the petition. Also, check out this article about Lancaster, California a city that recently implemented sweeping streetscape improvements that led to a boost in economic and social activity. A great example of the goals for Union Street, 4th Street, and additional corridors on the West Side.
