Curiosity, Creativity, Craft and Courage!
For creatives, making is the best way to deepen our understanding and improve our skills. The more we improve the greater our creative confidence. The greater our confidence, the more courageous we become in our work! The more I read, write and learn about typography, design and culture the more curious I become. Learning is fuelling a desire to make things, (and the more I make things, the more I learn)!

This month's typomusings focus on people who are curious and courageous craftsman and projects that honour the idea 'making is thinking'.

First up I talk magazines, typography and icecream with design talent Luke Tonge  'a sucker for the sensory nature of print'. He is passionate about editorial design (& culture). His innovative design work takes a contemporary approach to typesetting. An enthusiastic supporter of good people and good work in our community. Luke contributes to Form Fifty Five and currently works at Life Agency. In his spare time (Luke is not afraid to burn the midnight oil and works massive hours) he freelance's on some fantastic publications... including Monotype's highly celebrated 'The Recorder' publication.
I also caught up with the One Strong Arm studio's founder Dave Darcy to talk Design, Type, Print and Dublin to discuss how Dave honours the traditional craft of Letterpress in a contemporary way.

Other featured musings this month include expertly crafted typefaces, sensational student work, outstanding publications, and some exciting events that will enable you to improve your own creative craftsmanship!

Enjoy!
