The Cleveland National Airshow is Upon Us
September 3-5, 2016 will hold the Cleveland National Air Show, and WAI-CLE will be there to help kids get excited about aviation with our "Dress like a Pilot" booth. We also want to take this time to promote our Cleveland Chapter and our $500 student scholarship for 2016. If you have volunteered for the airshow please be sure to pick up your tickets and pass by TODAY, Friday, September 2nd.
2016 WAI-CLE Scholarship
WAI-CLE is seeking applications for our second $500 student scholarship to be awarded in December; if you know of a student who would be interested please feel free to share our application. The Application deadline is November 14, please download application
here and help us spread the word about our scholarship.
Last year's winner, Dakota, used her scholarship winnings to fund her first airplane solo. We are hoping to enrich and encourage another young woman or young man to fulfill their dreams with this scholarship.

September 2, 2016: IWASM's annual Corks in the Concourse will be in the Burke Lakefront airport terminal, from 7-10.

September 10, 2016: Kent State University will be hosting its annual Aviation Heritage Fair, the event is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Andrew W. Paton Field at the Kent State University Airport, located at 4020 Kent Road in Stow, Ohio.
September 16, 2016: Discover Aviation Center, located at the Lorain County Airport, 44050 Russia Road, Elyria, OH will be hosting their Friday Night Cookout starting at 6:00pm.
September 17, 2016: EAA Chapter 1252's annual Flyro Gyro Fly-in and Young Eagles rally will be at the Discover Aviation Center hangar from 10:00am-2:00pm. Fly in or Drive in for a delicious gyro or hot dog! EAA volunteer pilots will be giving free airplane rides to kids between the ages of 8 and 17 parent must be present, registration ends at 1:00.
September 25, 2016 - Wings and Wheels will be at the Medina Airport (1G5), 2050 Medina Rd, Medina, OH 44256, from 9:00 am -3:00pm.
