Richard & Clover Holland
Office swivel chair.  Grey upholstery, silver metal-effect arms; metal feet with wheels. About 5 years old, originally from CostCo, now surplus to requirements. Basically very good condition but does tend to drop in height occasionally!

Can be collected from ‘Water Meadows’ by arrangement.  Call Ian on 834276 or e-mail ian@ian-harris.com.

All parishioners and friends are welcome to join in our regular Wednesday evening Boules sessions, starting at 6.30pm at the 'Petanque Piste' on the Playing Field.

We hope to keep playing until the clocks go back at the end of October so there's still plenty of time to practice your 'shooting!'

Salutations!

A talk by Mike Beale from the S&D Trust

Monday September 26th 2016 at 7.30 in the Village Hall
To mark the 50th Anniversary of the closure of the Somerset and Dorset Railway the History Group has invited Mike Beale from the S&D Trust to give a talk. The talk will focus on the line as a whole but will also include a very local focus and flavour. There will be various displays to view both before and after the talk as well as memorabilia such as a Shoscombe and Single Hill Halt fridge magnet (every house should have one) to purchase.

Ticket price: £5 to include a glass of wine or juice.
Tickets available from:
Nick Glass 01761 439406
Roina Richards 01761 434357

or on the door, IF there are still some left!

Wellow Community Bus

The summer holidays are over and we are back to the normal Community Bus Timetable, running into Bath from the Village Square at 7.40am, 8.30am, 3pm and 5.30pm with morning pick-ups on request from the Avon Street Coach Park, Bath and the evening scheduled return run to Wellow from Bath at 5.55pm. Please phone the minibus mobile 07580 868407 to request a morning pick-up from Bath.

Following low demand for the Friday morning 10.30am 'Shoppers Run' we have decided to suspend this service with immediate effect. We will consider putting on some Xmas shopping runs in December.

Please contact Prakriti on 07900 163167 for your group bookings ... and book early for your Xmas parties!!

In regards to the vehicle reported X173EAK we have carried out checks and found that the owner is not local we have asked that an officer from a neighbouring beat to go to the keepers address to find out what the owners intention is. However in the meantime as the vehicle is not road legal we are arranging  for its removal, this may take a few days.

Wellow Flower Show
WELLOW HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

On a miserable day  we should like to thank all those villagers who rallied round to help rescue a very wet afternoon.
The entries were exceptionally good  and congratulations to all the winners.
The full list of winners will be displayed in the next Parish Newsletter.

The Flower Show committee thanks everyone who judged, stewarded, set up or took down the show.
Those who did a sterling job providing teas in the Hall – you must have been in the most popular place apart from possibly
the beer tent. Anyone else to many to mention who supported the Show in whatever way they  did – THANKYOU

Wellow Flower Show committee (on behalf of the Society)
