From the Executive Director: The Goal of Our New Strategic Plan
Think back, for a moment, to your school days. Which teacher – or, if you were lucky, teachers – made you most excited to come to school? Who sparked your curiosity, honored your intelligence, nurtured your emotional wellbeing, and made school a place of joy and adventure? Take a moment to remember the superstar(s) of your school experience. Then ask yourself: why weren’t all my teachers like that?

Since our founding in 1995, Center for Inspired Teaching has worked in partnership with teachers to shift the norm. With our new strategic plan, we are ready to extend our impact even more. [Read on.]
In Practice: Working Together to Re-imagine Learning
How can we approach growth beyond direct service? How can we leverage our expertise and partner with like-minded organizations to revolutionize an entire system? How can we transform education so that all children have the opportunity to thrive and learn in a way that is intellectually, emotionally, and physically engaging? These questions framed Center for Inspired Teaching’s participation in the Re-imagine Learning Globalizer process, an Ashoka initiative run in partnership with the LEGO Foundation. At the culmination of the planning process, the leaders of each participating organization came together for the Globalizer Summit in London. [Read on.]
With Our Partners: Ashoka Globalizer
As a participant in the Re-imagine Learning Globalizer, run in partnership with the LEGO Foundation, Inspired Teaching developed a strategic plan with the benefit of Globalizer’s resources, thought partnership, and connections. Ashoka Globalizer challenges participating organizations to think beyond growth in the traditional sense. Rather than merely expanding operations, social entrepreneurs consider how to open up access to their ideas so that they can become the new norm in society. [Read on.]
Online: Pilot the Instigator of Thought™ Challenge
For a limited time, we're re-opening sign-ups for teachers interested in piloting the Instigator of Thought™ online challenge. Participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their practice as Inspired Teachers and changemakers, connect with a like-minded community, and provide invaluable feedback before this initiative launches in full next school year. [Read on.]
