N GvosdevFrom Moldova to Georgia and everywhere in between, the aftershocks of the war in Ukraine are being felt across the Black Sea region. On military, economic, and energy fronts, conflicts continue to smolder while the U.S. struggles to develop a coherent regional response. In this talk, Nikolas Gvosdev will explore the strategic significance of the region.

Gvosdev is a professor of national security studies at the U.S. Naval War College and a senior fellow in the new Eurasia Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. He appears regularly in national and international media, including CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, National Public Radio, and the BBC.
