Autumn Admiral
With the onset of Autumn, for the past couple of weeks, the garden has been filled with Red Admiral butterflies, honey bees and the odd wasp, all enjoying the flowering Ivy (Hedera Helix), which grows up and over the white-washed, stone, garden wall.
In contrast with the end of the summer flowering from other plants, the ivy wall is alive with a buzzing and fluttering, as it flowers with abundance. To add to this, my early morning walk down the garden path to the studio, excited cats at my heels, is made extra pleasant with the scent of Jasmine in the air.

The Roaring 20s Colouring Book
Progress on the illustrations for my 1920s themed colouring book is going well—Two thirds are complete and the mini, pictorial story of Clarissa & Podge is finished.
Currently I'm busy with a series of seven ladies from the 1920s on floral backgrounds. Above a sneak peak of Clarissa, from original sketch to line.

Garden of Delight
This year, the garden has really excelled itself. Amongst the other vegetables and fruits, the plum tree decided to produce 20 kilos of fruit. Beautiful to see, but quite a daunting prospect. However, help from friends means we've picked them all (leaving some for the jays) and now we all have a jam supplies for a year! Luckily the blackberries waited a while.
