Announcements & Reminders
 
  • Potluck Picnics:  Please plan to bring a (nut-free) favorite dish and plenty to share! Check with your child's teacher during carline for a sign-up sheet for the dish you plan to bring. Please also bring place settings, silverware, napkins, cups, and drinks (water will be provided) for each member of your family attending the picnic.   All families and friends are welcome to attend!
  • Parent Workday: Come lend a hand to help beautify our school!  For this parent workday, we will focus on outdoor projects - getting the grounds ready for Fall and adding some new additions to the playground. CLICK HERE to sign up for specific projects taking place on the playground (new sand pit with log border and extended climbing area for monkey bars, etc. ) Other projects include filling our new playground garden bed with soil, planting bulbs and spreading mulch.  If you would like to bring a pot of chili or lunch accompaniment, please sign up through the link above. These are great ways to satisfy some of your school service hours and connect with your school community! See you on the 17th!
FALL FESTIVAL

Special thanks to the parents who attended the Fall Festival planning meeting - it is shaping up to be a fun event! Some new additions this year include henna tattoos, the band Red Shoes and Rosin and a variety of new games.

Staff Spotlight

Kelly Winston:  Office Assistant, provides office support at the Mead South campus. Kelly comes from a background in healthcare, spending the past nearly 20 years as a nurse specializing in the medial-surgical areas as well as oncology. Kelly also worked as a travel nurse for several years as well as with pediatrics. Kelly left her profession in the medical community when her daughter Ruby was born.  Ruby is a student at Mead in the Sugar Maple Community.  Kelly has been on Mead’s staff since the Fall of 2014. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys making art, watching live music, and spending time downtown.
