September Character Trait
Character Trait: Responsibility
Effective Habit: Be Proactive
Allah's name: Al-Qadir

In sha Allah in September, students will be encouraged to:
- Be accountable for what they do, for their actions, and behavior.
- Do the right thing at the right time, so others can trust and depend on them.
- When they choose to make a poor decision, they admit to it, apologize for it, and then take steps to rectify it.
- Be Proactive. Act in advance of a future situation, rather than reacting after events have transpired. Take control and making things happen rather than just adjusting to a situation or waiting for something to happen.
Hajj & Eid Celebration on September 9

September 9, 2016 will be an interesting day at Everest in sha Allah. On that day:
- Parents and community members are invited to walk in and view our students projects and presentations on Haj & Eid starting at 2:40 pm.

- Students can be picked up from their classrooms from 3:10 pm onward.
- For students not picked up from their classrooms, we will follow our regular dismissal procedure, with PK, DK dismissing from Activity Area starting at 3:20 pm and KG-8 at 3:40 pm in sha Allah.
- Our PTO has arranged for carnival in the back field from 3:30 - 6:30 pm.  Rides will be free; food will be available for purchase.
Dismissal Procedures

Many thanks to our parents for their cooperation with using designated gates to enter and exit the facility and exercising patience and caution as they wait to pick up their students. In order to further improve our dismissal process, parents please make note of the following:
  • Display Car Line Sign provided by school to pick up your student. You may be asked to park your car in the designated parent parking area and get approval from an Admin to pick up in case our staff on dismissal duty cannot verify your authorization.
  • Do not get out of your car if a staff member is available to assist at that time.
  • Kindly refrain from having a parent teacher conference at dismissal time unless previously scheduled. All of our teachers are on duty to either assist with dismissal or tutoring.
  • Parents walking to the Cafeteria Door to pick up their students are requested to line up while a staff member calls their student out.
Hadith of the Week

Narrated Abdullah bin Amr: Allah’s Apostle neither talked in an insulting manner nor did he ever speak evil intentionally. He used to say, “The most beloved to me amongst you is the one who has the best character and manners.”

Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 57 Hadith 104
