Sharpen your Perspective with i-Tree Landscape

Landscape UTC Pitt, PA imageThe i-Tree Landscape mapping and land cover analysis application is growing its high resolution data availability for trees and impervious surfaces. Urban Tree Canopy (UTC) coverage for 37 additional locations were recently added to the program, increasing the accuracy and scale of Landscape’s ability to assess tree benefits and other ecosystem services in communities.

The high-resolution data – typically 1 meter or less – is part of the toolset Landscape uses to identify the extent of benefits being provided by trees for counties, municipalities, and neighborhoods, including air pollution removal and stormwater avoidance. Landscape also offers a new option to assess the importance of forests in protecting surface water quality in watersheds. Learn more >
