New Caboodle!

Sherlock mustache

We are happy to announce that we have added a new Caboodle -- Mid-Summer Fun!  This Caboodle is full of outdoor activities such as: frisbees, hacky sacks, kites, sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, and hula hoops!

What’s a Caboodle?

It’s a bucket of fun!  A chance to interact!  An imagination generator!  A portable party!

Thanks to support from the Friends of the Library, Caboodles have been at the library since 2014 and many families have enjoyed checking them out.

If you are a family with young kids, have grandchildren visiting, are planning a vacation, or are just fun-loving folks they will be perfect for you!

Each Caboodle contains:

  • A card game
  • A dexterity game
  • An art project
  • A puzzle
  • A book
  • A music CD

AND NOW an exclusive Lego Kit built by
our very own Lego Club Kids!

Book Sale

The library will be hosting our annual fall book sale on Saturday, September 24 from 9 am - 2 pm.

We are looking for donations of books (no text books, encyclopedias, or condensed books, please), DVDs, audio books, and music.  You can drop them off any time the library is open.

We will also be looking for volunteers the day of the sale.  Stop by starting at 8 am to haul boxes, organize books, set up tables, and help shoppers.

New Home for our Reference Collection

When visiting the library, you may notice that our reference collection looks a little different. We have removed several titles from our collection that were out-of-date and whose material is readily available online. Other titles, we have relocated to our circulating collection.  Now, you may check out titles like our terrific sets: What Life Was Like, Myth and Mankind, and North America in Colonial Times.

Come see the changes and explore all the treasures our Nonfiction Collection has to offer.

Museum Passes

It's always a perfect time to visit a museum.  Borrow a pass from the library for Billings Farm, VINS, The Currier Museum of Art. The Shelburne Museum, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and The Mass MoCA.
