Get tickets now for the Mole & Mariachi Festival Raffle
For the first time ever, Friends is pre-selling tickets for the raffle at the Mole & Mariachi Festival. Prizes include an all-inclusive stay at Hotel Sandos Finisterra in Los Cabos, Baja California; a wine collection valued at $800, a stay in an Airstream trailer at the KOA Campground near Manresa Uplands State Beach and more. See the full list of the 10 raffle prizes.
Raffle tickets are available at the ParkStore at Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park through Friday, Sept. 9. Tickets are 1 for $2, 3 for $5, 6 for $10 and 13 for $20. You do not have to be present at the Mole & Mariachi Festival to win.
Tickets also will be for sale at the Festival, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Mission.

Welcome Marianne's Ice Cream to Seacliff State Beach
Marianne's Ice Cream took over the concession space at Seacliff State Beach this summer. Marianne's sells cold drinks, coffee, sandwiches, chips and — of course — ice cream.
The Santa Cruz institution started nearly seven decades ago and has two other locations: 1020 Ocean St. in Santa Cruz and 218 State Park Drive in Aptos, just up the cliff from Seacliff State Beach.

Volunteer at the Mole & Mariachi Festival
Friends is looking for helping hands at the fourth annual Mole & Mariachi Festival, Saturday, Sept. 10, at Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park. Help with the mole tasting, assist in making the festival a zero-waste event, direct attendees, facilitate kids' crafts and even dance in the mojiganga costumes. Celebrate Ohlone Day
The 31st annual Ohlone Day at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is Saturday, Sept. 10. See traditional dances, songs, stories and more. Activities happen throughout the day — from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — and are free. Parking is $10 and supports the park.

Enjoy assisting day use visitors or overnight campers in beautiful natural environments within a team atmosphere. Friends is looking for individuals who would enjoy working with State Parks staff in the operation of the campground and day use areas.
