Monday Email | September 5

We're off to a good start! Thank you for helping your child to smoothly transition into school. It is very common for young children to shed a few tears when saying good-bye. The tears are usually short lived and the children quickly become involved in the mornings activities. Some children who entered easily on the first days of school, may all of the sudden have difficulty separating. This is a natural part of getting comfortable in a new place. Teachers are always available, just let them know how they can help you!
No School - Labor Day Holiday
School will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 5th. Hope you enjoy the extra day in your weekend!
PCC Preschool Back To School Night
Tuesday, September 13th from 7:00pm-8:30pm

We are looking forward to seeing ALL families at this event. Get to know more about our staff, hear details abut our curriculum and get a closer look at our classrooms and materials. This is an adult only event.
Change of Clothes | Emergency Kits
Look for bins outside of your child's classroom where you can put their bag of extra clothes and emergency kits. Here are some suggestions of few non perishable healthy snacks (nut free) that you could include in their emergency kits: applesauce, dried fruit, fruit snacks, crackers, granola bar, z-bar and a bottle of water.  Also include an information card in the Ziplock that includes your child's name as well as any emergency contacts name and phone numbers. Please bring these times in no later than Sept. 16th.
Children's Health
Please help us keep our school as "germ-free" as possible. If your child isn't feeling week, please do not send him/her to school. the following is a partial list of symptoms that would indicate a child should remain at home:
- a fever within the last 24 hrs.
- diarrhea/vomiting within the last 24 hrs.
- a skin rash that has not been identified
- evidence of head lice
- continuous coughing or constant runny nose
- conjunctivitis (pink eye)
- sore throat
- open cold sores
If your child becomes sick at school, we will call your right away.  If we are unable to reach you within a short period of time, we will begin calling people that you listed on your emergency form.
Absences

Please notify the school if your child is absent.  It is important for us to track the reason for children’s absences especially if it is something contagious or if your child will be absent for an extended period of time. You can email Maria at mariak@wearepcc.com or call the Preschool office at 365-8094 ext. 240.

Wednesday Parking at PCC

Beginning on Wednesday, September 14th, BSF (a bible study group of 300 women) will meet on our campus every Wednesday from 9:00am - 11:30am to learn about the Word of God. Parking on these mornings can be difficult. To make it easier to find parking, plan on arriving to school a bit early on Wednesdays when you drop off your child at school.
