Hari Om!
Welcome to October....
Namaste everyone...I know, I said there wouldn't be a October newsletter but I just wanted to remind you of dates and a couple of other things.
If this is your first newsletter from me I hope it holds a little interest.  A massive thank you to all the new people who have been warmly welcomed into class over the last couple of weeks.  It is an absolute joy to share yoga with everyone.  The energy in classes has been truly wonderful.  I do hope I see you all again come October!!

Most important thing to remember is that there are no classes now until week of 17th October.

My wonderful friend and virtual assistant Sarah is looking after my emails for me as best she can.  She may send a holding email to you...otherwise I will reply on 13th October.   If you ever need someone to help you with your business please do check out Sarah.  Her website is full of useful information and explains exactly what she can help you with.

Nepal Fundraising....It has been another wonderful month of money coming in.  I cannot believe that Carole has managed to sell £77.50 worth of wolly hats in summer!  Am sure she sells them to people in the pub!!  What a star woman - massive thank you to her.  She was baking again on Wednesday so we had banana cake in class, so that raised more for the silver tin.  I have just counted the tin...so over August and September it has raised £106.  Amazing...huges thanks to everyone.

On my return it is all systems go until Christmas.  So much is planned.

Fancy a break in beautiful Wales - off grid?

My dad has recently completed making an authentic shepherds hut...just like the one he had as a young man...a long time ago!  It has a single bed (very comfy as I ordered the mattress and bedding!), a log burner (very cosy when on), and is situated in a field close to the house for toilet and bath.  There is no mains electricity in the hut but you can charge things in the house or from a solar charger.

It is an ideal spot to meditate; practice yoga; be completely with nature; to write, paint, relax; go for walks.
There is more information here, or email me to book.

1st to 9th April 2017 and
8th to 16th April 2017

Places available on both weeks.

This luxury retreat, to Northern Kerala, India, includes 7 days hermitage stay and is ideal for those that want to dip into the sea or infinity pool; to practice varied yoga and meditation either in the Patanjali Hall or on the beach; to experience 5 ayurveda treatments; be surrounded by unspoilt nature.
To discuss or book your place please contact me.  Full details on the whole trip can be found here.
And if you are wondering why I have chosen this venue, above all others, have a look at Slow Life.

Pranayama with Mudras
Throughout September we have been working with mudras whilst being aware of the breath.  A wonderful...sometimes magical...practice.  I promised the info sheet so here it is.    Trust the practice; feel, observe the breath; listen and enjoy!  I love this practice.  Spend at least 15mins with it.  Set a timer.

OM MANI PADME OM
Tibetan mantra for compassion.
Repeat it over and over again...just as it is spelt...am sure you will find a version on YouTube.  I love this mantra.  The prayer flags and prayer wheels are filled with it.

Om purifies ego
Ma purifies jealousy
Ni purifies passion
Pad purifies ignorance
Me purifies greed
Hum purifies hatred

Cauliflower Couscous

It's a while since I shared a recipe...but I have been having fun with food recently.  I've always had a huge interest in food and growing it...although I gave up my allotments a few years ago.  Did you know I was on the Jeremy Vine show once talking about Women Allotment Holders!  That's my claim to fame.  Anyway...try this...delicious and I have done it with a mix of cauliflower and broccoli and broccoli on its own.  If you dont have a food processor you can grate the cauliflower.
