Welcome back to school! And congratulations to the new cohort of Teacher and Principal Ambassador Fellows who are bringing teacher voice to the development and implementation of national education policy. As we enter a new academic year, we're excited to see more opportunities and pathways for teacher voice and teacher leadership!
TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PUBLISHES ROAD MAP TO TEACHER LEADERSHIP
The Tennessee Department of Education recently released its third annual Teacher Leader Guidebook, which is designed to provide teachers with leadership opportunities.
In 2011, the Tennessee State Board of Education adopted the Teacher Leader Model Standards, which provide a set of skills and competencies to guide and encourage the development of teacher leaders.
The Guidebook highlights 15 teacher leader models developed by 28 districts across the state.
