Leave dogs at home


Parents, please be aware, per St Vrain Valley School District policy, dogs are not permitted on school grounds. Please keep dogs at home, as we have students who may be allergic or fearful.

100 Mile Club begins September 12th!

Register by Monday, Sept. 5 to get 100MC barcodes on the first day of club!

The 100 Mile Club presents students with a straightforward challenge: run, jog, or walk 100 miles over the course of the school year

Reporting an Absence


We have three ways to report an absence at Black Rock

Reminder: All visitors need to sign in

To ensure that visitors do not disrupt the educational the educational process of other school operations and that no unauthorized persons enter schools, all visitors shall report to the office immediately when entering the school. Authorized visitors shall be required to sign in and out and be given name-tags to wear identifying themselves as visitors.

No Late Start in October

The Colorado Department of Education has identified Wednesday, October 5 as the official statewide October Count Day for the 2016-2017 school year. To comply with this state mandate and ensure maximum attendance, St. Vrain Valley Schools will have a full day of school with a normal start time on Wednesday, October 5 in place of the previously scheduled late start day.
Your assistance with this important state requirement is greatly appreciated as funding for St. Vrain schools and the important resources for our students are directly impacted by the October 5 attendance numbers. For more information, please contact the front office.

This is a letter to remind parents that once school starts, so does lice.  It starts making their rounds in the heads of our students.  Lice outbreaks are common among school children. Although an annoying problem, head lice should not trigger alarm.
