Nourishment.

Life is a journey of wonder, inspiration and evolution and our outlook impacts our experience.  Even the parts that are uncomfortable (including the mistakes and the conflicts) are part of the process of our own deep learning.  I am seeing how important it is for me to offer devotion to both my heart and body-mind in order to maintain an outlook that is available, willing and ready to play.  The practice of devotion appears to be offering myself sweet, consistent, loving nourishment.

Nourishment:
What is necessary for your life, health and growth?

For me, the list begins with quietude, yoga, reflection, meditation, writing, study, hanging out with positive and insightful people, cooking my own food, receiving massage, practicing routine, doing less busy work and enjoying more simplicity.  I am unearthing and learning more about living into the devotion of nourishment.
I believe that it is the first step towards deep, authentic connection.

Lotus in the Flame Advanced Teacher Training

I spent five full weeks immersed in yoga study with 24 amazing women and our beloved teacher, Melissa Spamer.   We visited yoga philosophy, history, anatomy, sequencing, ayurveda and were encouraged to become ever more dedicated to our personal practice.  I am grateful for the wise and interested women of this group and the experience of sharing self and receiving others that was informative and deeply healing.  May my teaching and practice continue to soothe my being and inspire the wisdom of my heart.  Great Gratitude for all the Support I received!

My husband Roger loves wood, creative problem solving and building things. This past year he built two mission style bar stools to match a set of chairs, revamped a ceiling with corrugated tin and wood, built picture shelves, the beech leaf deck and ventured into many friends homes to help them with their lists of 'things I don't have the time or inclination to fix.'  If you have a project in mind, reach out and he might be able to create it for you!

I am so grateful for the progressive and welcoming community at Kazoo School.  The boys made the transition from summer to school with happy faces and no tummy aches.  Wow.  The picture is from a summer visit to Chicago where grandma's spending money was doled out for special rocks and stuffed animals.  We are looking at the first big '13' next month and a growth spurt that just might surpass momma this year!  As I nourish my boys, I learn how to nourish myself.

Wonderment.
Sending Love.
