A New Story

Once upon a time, a woman blessed with creative talents struggled, as many, with ways to make a living using her talents. She tried working in non-profits, getting a college degree, becoming a nurse, investing in online business courses. Finally, one day the muse of entrepreneurship inspired her to devote her life to spreading the benefits and many uses of storytelling. Her service is Story Solutions, and this newsletter will offer monthly tips and information to help you find the benefits of using story in your life or organization.

Story
  • heals physical, mental, emotional, & spiritual wounds
  • enables you to reinvent yourself
  • provides self-empowerment
  • inspires others
  • offers knowledge and wisdom
  • leaves a cultural, community, or family legacy
You may not have time to read a 1,000 word blog, but you always have time for a good story.

Next Month

Meet Lewis Mehl-Madrona, M.D., Ph.D. and learn his story of using story to heal physical and psychological illnesses.

What's Storytelling Savvy?

Savvy means "understanding or knowledge of how to do something." (yourDictionary.com) Storytelling savvy is possessing the information, tips, approaches, methods, purposes, and uses of storytelling to tell the story you want to tell. You may want to tell a story to inspire others, reinvent yourself, get a new job, or to make an impression. Or your organization has a story to tell specific audiences to increase your funding or membership.
Every month you'll gain a storytelling tip to add to your storytelling savvy.
