You must be so busy.  I can't imagine how you manage to promote your business, cultivate contacts among hotels, tour guides, and NGOs, and still have time to check in with clients.  And you have a personal life besides.  Amazing!

We look upon travel to a place like Costa Rica as an opportunity to learn, to embrace a culture . . . and, in this case, to greet strange and exotic animals.  In the service of these ends, no one could have been better suited than the guide you found for us.

Of course, you know Frank as a naturalist of considerable skill, a specialist in whales. But did you know he can also speak knowledgeably about Costa Rican authors like Jose Sanchez, filmmakers like Esteban Ramirez, and scientists like Franklin Chang Diaz?

I can't tell you how much I am indebted to Frank and how much regard I hold for him and for his lovely family.

If there was a small disappointment in the trip, it was that I had to confront the fact that I am no longer 20 years old.  Still, Frank shepherded my wife and I through the travails of travel with great care and consideration.  We couldn't have done it without him.

If there was an unexpected joy, it was the discovery of the Resplendent Quetzal.  We were totally unprepared for the charm and brilliance of this remarkable little bird.

I suspect that, in planning this trip, you knew perfectly  well how to gauge our limitations, our interests, and the experiences that would be most meaningful in a short period of time.
