Need to Talk?

Whether you are trying to discern the answer to a difficult decision, articulate who you are more clearly, figure out what you're supposed to be doing with your life or in need of someone to talk with, we invite you to consider Fr. Sacramental Preparation

If you are interested in learning more about becoming Catholic or being confirmed at Notre Dame, please join us for an upcoming informational session on Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center, Room 330. For more information, please email Brett Perkins.


 

EXALT Adoration

EXALT Evening adoration will be held on Friday, Sept. 2 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Cavanaugh Hall Chapel. All are invited to join for praise and worship music, reconciliation and a brief meditation. Students may come for a short while or stay the entire time. EXALT Adoration is held the first Friday of each month throughout the academic year. For more information, please email Kayla August.

Liturgical Training

Training for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will be held on Sept. 6 at 10 p.m. and Sept. 11 at 3 p.m. Training for Lectors will be held on Sept. 6 at 8:30 p.m. and Sept. 11 at 8:30 p.m. All training sessions will be held in the Basilica. Extraordinary Ministers must renew their commissions annually while Lectors only need to attend a training once. Learn more here

Eucharistic Adoration

Starting Monday, Sept. 12, Eucharistic Adoration will be held Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Notre Dame Our Mother Chapel inside the Coleman-Morse Center. Students are encouraged to pray during regular Adoration hours or volunteer to keep vigil at a particular time. Sign up for a weekly half-hour slot here

Graduate
Dinner

Friday, Sept. 2 marks the first Graduate Student First Friday Fellowship Dinner. All post-baccalaureate students, family and friends are invited to attend the dinner that begins at 6:15 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center First-floor Student Lounge. Food and kid-friendly activities will be provided. If you plan to attend, please RSVP here


 

Server Training

Altar servers assist with various details of the Mass. Tasks include helping to set the altar table with the necessary vessels and handling candles, incense and the processional cross. One training session will be held in the fall on Tuesday, Sept. 13 from 8:30 to 9:45 p.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Join the Women's Choir

The Notre Dame Women's Liturgical Choir is now accepting new members. Come sing along and meet the current Women's Liturgical Choir members at Monday open rehearsals from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center, room 329. Freshman Fellowship

Freshmen interested in meeting other faith-filled freshmen and learning more about what it means to be a Catholic young adult at Notre Dame are invited to attend the Compass Freshman Fellowship informational meeting on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center First-floor Student Lounge. If you are unable to attend the meeting and are still interested in participating, please email Kayla August.
 

Rejoice! Mass

Rejoice! Mass is a multi-cultural Mass in the African-American tradition celebrated monthly throughout the academic year. The first Rejoice! Mass will be held on Sunday, Sept. 4 at 4 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Parish Center. The Voices of Faith Gospel Choir will sing and Fr. Pete McCormick, C.S.C., will preside. 



 

Understanding Catholicism

Learn more about various Christian beliefs and traditions at the Understanding Catholicism lecture on Monday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The session is open to students and scholars of all faith traditions or none at all. Please meet in front of the Basilica. For more information, please contact Brett Perkins
