Charlie Wheeler Band - Blues Karma and The Kitchen Sink CD - The Charlie Wheeler Band comes roaring out of the studio with their 4th full length CD Blues Karma and the Kitchen Sink. True to their style, Charlie Wheeler offers songs that keep your blood pumping, your foot tapping and your body moving. Hailing from Western PA, the band exudes a muscular brand of blues rock reminiscent of Gov't Mule or the Black Crowes. As always, you'll be singing along with Charlie's catchy, story-driven lyrics that are carefully crafted.

Jerry Garcia Band - Garcialive Vol 7: November 8th 1976 Sophie's Palo Alto (2CD)  - 2016 two CD live archive release. A new discovery in the vaults, this previously uncirculated gem features the classic mid-70's Jerry Garcia Band treats such as 'Ride Mighty High' and 'Mission in the Rain.' The set showcases the quintessential Jerry Garcia Band, Donna and Keith Godchaux, John Kahn, and Ron Tutt.

Coming Soon

John Brown's Body - Fireflies CD - OTwenty years into their groundbreaking and influential career, John Brown's Body returns with an album that shows off the latest evolution of their sound. FIREFLIES follows up the critically acclaimed #1 reggae album KINGS AND QUEENS (2013) and finds lead singer Elliot Martin and the rest of the band delving into even more muscular riddims (heavily influenced by classic Roots Radics and early 80s dancehall). FIREFLIES is also the first record to feature guitarist/vocalist Jay Spaker, who has been touring with the band since 2013, but gets his first chance here to write and sing on a release. This brings JBB full circle as a two vocalist/songwriter band. The sessions were mainly done with Craig Welsch (10 Ft. Ganja Plant, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad) at his studio. Regardless of all of these evolutions, the core of the JBB sound - dubbed out future roots, intense horn lines, and Elliot Martin's complex lyrical flow - is all still front and center. Even after helping to influence an entire U.S. reggae movement, JBB continues to find new ways to innovate.
TAUK - Sir Nebula - On their third studio album Sir Nebula, TAUK tap into their singular chemistry to elevate and expand their all-instrumental blend of funk, hip-hop, progressive rock, and jazz. Revealing both their refined musicality and unbridled creativity, the Oyster Bay, New York-bred rock-fusion four-piece (guitarist Matt Jalbert, bassist Charlie Dolan, keyboardist/organist Alric "A.C." Carter, and drummer Isaac Teel) push into new sonic terrain and build entire worlds within each richly textured soundscape.

Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings - Miss Sharon Jones! Original Soundtrack CD - It is our distinct pleasure to present: Miss Sharon Jones! OST. The film, directed by two-time Academy Award winner, Barbara Kopple, follows the dynamic front-woman through her 2013 battle with cancer and her triumphant return to the stage around the release of Give The People What They Want.
The soundtrack, featuring the exclusive "I'm Still Here", boasts a nice selection of tracks ranging from her early singles on Daptone, to tracks from the band's 2014 release - Give the People What They Want. Much like the film, the soundtrack gives you an intimate, candid look into the life of a woman who refuses to be defined by the challenges she faces. The perfect accompaniment to a truly extraordinary film. Stay tuned this summer for the Miss Sharon Jones! theatrical releasel.

Travers Brothership - A Way To Survive CD - A Way to Survive is Travers Brothership's first full-length album recorded at The Eagle Room in the mountains of their hometown, Asheville, NC. Produced by the Travers Twins, this record captures Travers Brothership in all their Neo-Soul, Funk, and Rock n' Roll glory.

Jerry Garcia w/John Kahn - Lonesome Prison Blues CD - This recording was from a show that has often in the past been simply referred to as "Oregon State Pen" or "Jerry in the Big House" and features the duo, with Garcia on acoustic guitar and Kahn on upright bass, playing for a small group of prisoners at the Oregon State Penitentiary on Cinco de Mayo in 1982. The 11 song set includes a nice mix of Grateful Dead tunes, Jerry solo tracks, traditionals, and covers. One of its greatest strengths is how intensely personal the recording sounds.

Frank Zappa - Dutch Courage 1980 (2CD) Click for track list. Included here too as bonus cuts are a selection of tracks from the same tour - broadcast from Paris and Munich respectively - as well as an extended 1980 interview with Mike Siegel for Boston TV show 'Five All Night, Live All Night', in which a typically sarcastic yet droll Zappa answers questions from the host and the viewers about his family life, his recent legal troubles and his latest releases. Making in completion a full 160 minute recording across two discs, in quite excellent audio quality throughout, this release will prove a delight for fans and a must have item to add to any decent Zappa collection.

Allman Brothers Band - Almost the 80s (2CD) -  By 1978 moves were afoot to reunite the band, augmented by new guitarist Dan Toler and bassist David Goldflies, to record the much celebrated Enlightened Rogues album, and return to touring. The album was released in February and the recording featured here with the new line-up came on the night before New Year's Eve of the same year - for the record, fact fans, on the actual NYE, the band were performing in New Haven, Connecticut. The new line up is captured here in superb revitalised form, at the Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, NY on the 30th December 1979, a show broadcast live by WLIR-FM, and presented here complete across 2 CDs.
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Blues You Can Use CD -  Taken from a radio broadcast aired by WMMR FM, of a show performed at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia on 30th June 1987, this set clearly demonstrates why the legend of Stevie Ray and Double Trouble has been so enduring. Touring seven months after the release of his then last album, Live Alive - a live album which Vaughan himself was admittedly dissatisfied with due to its poor recording, lackluster playing and countless overdubs - this show finds the band on absolute top form. In addition, this is almost certainly the finest quality live audio recording available by this quite extraordinary performer, and includes such classics as 'Couldn't Stand The Weather', 'Scuttle Buttin'' and a staggering 14 minute rendition of 'Life Without You'.

Prince - Rock in Rio 2 (2 CD) - In 1991, Prince and his band were invited to play two dates as part of Rock In Rio 2, the second edition of the Brazilian-based music festival, the largest in the world. The recording featured here comes from Prince's first appearance at the event, when he headlined proceedings on Friday 18th January. The result, presented here across over two discs, is perhaps one of the finest shows in musical history. With the crowd in the palm of his hand throughout, Prince put on a quite superlative performance, as thrilling as ever, and featured such legendary tracks as 'Purple Rain', 'Kiss', 'Nothing Compares 2 U' and a staggering 28 minutes medley of 'Baby I'm A Star'.
