The EGPCP team are keeping busy with planning and reporting. Kelly and Celisha were also able to attend a Microsoft Excel course last week. To test their knowledge, make sure to ask them some tricky questions next time you work on a spreadsheet!

Key priority areas: alcohol culture, vulnerable groups and policy.

Victorian Suicide Prevention Framework 2016-2025
This framework is a whole-of-government commitment to reducing suicide and suicidal behaviour, and a coordinated strategy that will help to save lives. It will guide a community-wide shift in attitudes to promote inclusion, support mental wellbeing and combat stigma and discrimination.

The largest parallel survey of Australian immigrants. Topics covered include economic status, trust, attitudes to cultural diversity, discrimination, and Muslim Australians.

Sport and youth substance use: findings from a systematic review of longitudinal studies
The evidence on how sport can help prevent substance misuse among young people is mixed.

Autism spectrum disorder and co-occurring substance use disorder - a systematic review
This report examines the issues presented by patients with co-occurring autism spectrum disorders (ASD) who are also experiencing substance use disorders.

State Trustees Australia Foundation - grassroots grants
Grants of up to $10,000 for initiatives focussed on ageing, disability, or mental health and emotional well-being. Applications close 12 September.

The Flora and Frank Leith Charitable Trust
To support projects for disadvantaged youth and families. Applications close 30 September.

Learning Impact Fund - $1,000,000 pool
To build resilience in schools or to improve the academic achievement of children.
Applications close 5 October.

Fruit and vegetable consumption evidence, guidelines and resources as hosted by Nutrition Australia.

PalliAGEDnurse app
Nurses can download a full version of this support app so that it still accessible outside of internet coverage. It contains sections on identification of palliative needs, advanced care planning, case conferencing and terminal care planning.

Chronic conditions manual
The manual contains evidence-based behaviour recommendations for people living with one or more of the 20 most common chronic conditions, as well as general information, management, care plans and recall. The manual also contains health checks for adults and children, and aims to support health literacy.
