The days of summer are in the rear view mirror. Kids have gone back to school and Cambrians are gearing up for Pinedorado Days and  the month long Scarecrow Festival in October. That means it's time for pumpkin spice lattes and everything Fall. This month we have 2 great Fall recipes to share. First our Chai Banana Bread made with our David Rio Tiger Chai Tea. A deliciously moist and spicy banana bread that you'll be making the entire season. We also have cocktail hour ready for you with our Pumpkin Margarita recipe. These margaritas will be a hit at your next dinner party or gathering.

Chai Banana Bread

INGREDIENTS
• 1/2 cup David Rio Tiger Chai Tea
• 1 stick Butter, softened
• 3/4 cup Sugar 
• 2 Eggs
• 1/4 cup  Milk
• 1 3/4 cup Flour
• 1 tsp Baking Soda 
• 1 tsp Baking Powder 
• 2 Bananas, peeled & mashed 
• Optional - add 1/2 cup of nuts or 1 cup chocolate chips

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda into a large bowl and set aside. In a separate bowl, mix the softened butter and sugar together. Once butter and sugar are mixed well, add eggs, chai powder and milk. Mix thoroughly. Mix in the mashed bananas. Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. If adding nuts, add at this time. Pour into greased bread pan. Bake for 30-45 minutes until toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Let the chai bread rest for 10 minutes. Enjoy! 

Pumpkin Margarita

INGREDIENTS
• 3/4 C Tequilla
• 1 C Orange Liqueur
• 4 Limes (3 for juicing make apprx 1/2 cup lime juice & 1 for garnish)
• 1/3 C Pure Pumpkin
• 1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice (and extra for garnish)
• 1 C Simple Syrup
• 3/4 C Water

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

In a pitcher add all ingredients and whisk together till mixed well. Pour margaritas over ice filled glasses. Garnish with a wedge of lime and sprinkle pumpkin pie spice on top. Serve with tortilla chips and salsa.
