We set aside 15 minutes of every meet to devote to the idea of INSPIRATION. One of us will be the Torchbearer and share something that inspires them (to write, to think, to be). This could be a picture, a piece of writing or video, a prop, a talk or anything else. 

This time's Torchbearer will be Gautam Sukhija

Pick a genre-defined story. Rewrite it using the trappings of a different genre altogether. Cook up a spaghetti Western Titanic. Bring us a horror version of Cinderella. Do a romcom on Fight Club.

Rules of the #MeetSpeak

  • Every attendee MUST bring at least one original piece of their writing.
  • All languages are welcome.
  • There are no restrictions on genre, style or format. But we do not address pieces that are business-related, commercial, technical or that the writer is paid to write.
  • The piece can be brought on a printout or a digital device but NO HANDWRITTEN NOTES.
  • Every attendee must participate in the discussion of other attendees' pieces.
  • Members pay for what they consume during meets. There will be no separate food, drinks or smoke breaks.
