Annual Dinner an Inspiring Evening!

Family to Family Program to Begin September 6th 

NAMI's family education class "Family to Family" will start on September 6 and will take place at SpringHaven Counseling Center. This is a free 12-week course for family members who have an adult loved one with a mental illness. for more information and to register, call the NAMI office at 330-264-1590.

1. Explain each of SAMHSA’s principles and why they are important

About the Presenter: 
Gina L. Patterson, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist who has been with OneEighty formerly Liberty Center Connections Inc., dba Every Woman’s House and STEPS at Liberty Center since 2002.  She began her work there as the Trauma Therapist and became the Clinical Director for Every Woman’s House in 2008.  She has been providing psychotherapy to victims of trauma for 20 years.  Her experiences include intimate partner violence, family violence, sexual trauma, and community coordination.  She believes issues of psychological trauma and violence are community issues and must be addressed by the community as a whole.  In 2013, she also became the Clinical Director for the alcohol and drug treatment department of OneEighty.

Ohio’s Safe and Violence-Free Schools Conference, Sept. 19

The theme of this all-day conference is School and Community Partnerships: What’s Working to Reduce Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying. The day will include strategic planning activities to identify critical needs, partners and processes to create local safe and violence-free schools. The department’s Center for P-20 Safety and Security, along with the Anti-Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying Initiative, are sponsoring this conference, which will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ohio Department of Transportation, 1980 West Broad Street, Columbus, 43223.
