Saying goodbye to three community cats

Sadly, RCR has recently had to say goodbye to three community cats in our care. All three cats belonged to our trap, neuter, return and maintain program
and will be missed by volunteers who visited them daily to provide food and water. Barbara (black and white) was a long-time resident at a colony in Regina’s warehouse district. She passed away at 16 years of age after living her whole life outdoors with some help from RCR volunteers. Ernie (brown tabby) was a 5-year-old cat who was tragically hit by a car and passed away. He will be missed in particular by his special friend Tiffany (black). And finally, Hunter (grey) also fell victim to a car this summer. He was just two years old and joined an RCR colony last summer. Barbara, Ernie and Hunter will be missed both by their colony mates and human caregivers. Rest in peace our feline friends.

Photo of the Month! Captain was found on the side of a gravel road by good Samaritans who rushed her to TM'z Veterinary Clinic. Clinic staff reached out to RCR for help funding her vet care, fostering and adoption support. We're happy to share that having one eye hasn't slowed Captain down one bit and her foster family reports that she's a super sweet little kitten.
