Congratulations to Jack Lewis!!

Straight from the Heart of Texas - Jack traveled all the way from San Antonio to attend Georgia Trade School! From the first day of class, his Texas-sized smile and natural ability shone brightly, and he quickly progressed through processes and positions, mastering techniques and exceeding expectations. His positive attitude never wavered, and he was always eager to learn and help. Deep in the heart of Texas, Jack is now employed with JV Industrial, welding pipe and (we're sure!) smiling all the while.

GTS Vice President Sean Quinton returned to Louisville, Kentucky for the 2016 SkillsUSA National Skills Conference (pictured below). Sean served as a judge in the welding and fabrication competition. More than 15,000 people participated in this year’s event including 5,600 student state champions from across 100 different trades. It is a great honor to be invited to represent Georgia at the National Contest and we are proud of Sean for his commitment to our industry's future. In 2021, this leadership conference (which boasts the nation’s largest number of volunteer hours) will begin a 6 year residency at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Home cooking as we like to say!

Piedmont Mechanical Visit

We were thrilled to host Terri Murr (pictured below) with this top contractor whose clients include Lockheed Martin! Terri hired three of our Pipe Welders (all pictured below) at $30+ hourly base pay. We're excited about building a strong partnership! And Teri said “she'll be back” - we all look forward to it!
