I’m a reader.  I am guessing that most of you are as well.  With so many great books out there, I sometimes get overwhelmed by all of the choices selecting a book entails.  Fiction or nonfiction?  Scary or silly?  Quick read or a series?  That’s where booklists come in.  I love using a booklist to guide me through the maze of seemingly limitless options.

The same is true for children’s literature.  How do you choose the books to fill your library when so many options are available?  Booklists to the rescue!  Check out the resource section below to find booklists full of garden-themed books to share with your children.  Or learn from a fellow grantee who took her reading to the web.  Have a favorite book or resource of your own?  Let me know!

Happy gardening,
Beth

"I have been on websites that I have never even heard of that have great information. One of them is called www.eartheasy.com which has a great article called “Teaching My Children How to Grow a Garden” very useful if you don’t know what kind of vegetables to grow or what tools you will need to help young children succeed in making their very own vegetable garden.

Our garden goals for the future will be subscribing to current publications such as Kidsgardening.org. We will also go to our public library to checkout garden related books to keep in the center for a couple of weeks at a time."
