Pillar's go-ahead double

Games played September 6, 2016

Toronto CF Kevin Pillar reached base four times in a 7-6 loss to the Yankees, going 3-for-4 with 2 singles, a go-ahead 2-run double off the wall, and a walk. Pillar's .326 average with runners in scoring position leads the team. The Blue Jays (77-61) are tied with Boston atop the A.L. East.

Milwaukee LF Ryan Braun went 3-for-5 with 4 RBIs in a 12-6 win over the Cubs, hitting a 3-run home run and a go-ahead RBI single. He narrowly missed extra bases in the 2nd inning when Jason Heyward made a leaping catch at the wall. Braun's 26th HR put him one ahead of Ian Kinsler's 25 for the lead among MLB Jews.

Houston 3B Alex Bregman went 1-for-5 with an RBI triple in a 4-3 win over Cleveland. The Astros (74-64) have won two in a row and sit two games behind Detroit for the second and final A.L. Wild Card slot.

Los Angeles CF Joc Pederson went 1-for-2 with 2 walks in a 5-2 win over Arizona. The Dodgers (78-60) have won four in a row and remain four games ahead of San Francisco atop the N.L. West, the team's widest margin since July 23.

Oakland RF Danny Valencia went 0-for-4 in a 3-2 win over the Angels.

2B Ian Kinsler sat out Detroit's 2-0 loss to the White Sox due to a finger injury. The defeat dropped the Tigers (75-63) one game behind Baltimore for the second and final A.L. Wild Card slot.

Reliever Scott Feldman did not play in Toronto's 7-6 loss to the Yankees.
