Save the Date! September 28 Commercial Conservation Technical Workshop

Austin Water and the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) will hold a free water conservation technical workshop on September 28, 2016, for facility managers and industrial, commercial and institutional customers on water-saving tactics, technologies and rebate programs. The meeting will be held at LCRA’s Dalchau Service Center, 3505 Montopolis Road, Austin, Texas from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This year’s focus will be on cooling system water efficiency, reclaimed water use and central computer water management systems.
Topics at the meeting include:
- LCRA lake level and weather outlook
- Resin water deionization systems for cooling tower water efficiency
- Alternatives to water using cooling towers (VRF, hybrid and air-cooled systems)
- “Water IQ” - Central computer water management control systems
- Austin Water reclaimed water update and cooling tower initiative
- Air conditioning condensate recovery system requirements for new development
- New cooling tower water efficiency standards and equipment requirements for Austin
- SPEER “District 30” – Water/energy efficiency goals for downtown Austin
- Austin Water and LCRA commercial incentive program updates
Staff from Austin Energy, Austin Water, Austin Resource Recovery and Texas Gas Company will also be available at the workshop to answer questions about their conservation incentive programs.
